The Palestinian father, Jamil ad-Durra, (in 2000) was trying to protect his son from Israeli gunfire moments before the boy was shot dead, the father was wounded and a Palestinian ambulance driver who came to rescue them, was also killed.Reporters watched helplessly as the boy and his father became trapped against a wall with nothing but a small concrete block for cover as bullets rained around them on a road near the Jewish settlement of Netzarim in the Gaza Strip. Mohammed crouched weeping behind his father, who tried in vain to shield him with his arms and body. At one point, the father raised his head and wagged his finger, as if to scold. Some time later, both were shot and Mohammed slumped into his father’s lap.Mohammed died, while his father survived badly wounded. An ambulance driver, who braved the fierce shooting to try to rescue them was also killed.

Niki Lauda - Former F1 pilot
In 1976, an accident at the Nurburgring (where his car caught fire, and Lauda was trapped in the wreckage for several minutes) nearly took his life. A priest came to be called to the hospital to give extreme unction. But despite severe burns that cost him parts of the right ear, Lauda still running back that year and only lose the world title in the last race for the Englishman James Hunt. In 1977, he won three victories and regained the world title. 
On the morning of July 23, 1993, at approximately midnight, several cars stopped in front of the Candelaria church. Soon after, the police opened fire on more than seventy children and adolescents who were sleeping near the church. As a result of the massacre, six children and two more were killed and several wounded children and adolescents. Much has been speculated about the real motives of the massacre, but until now no one knows for sure what led to the realization of it. Two of the most accepted hypotheses claim that the massacre was carried out for revenge. One of these theories says that the motive of revenge of the police is the fact that on the morning of July 22, 1993 a group of homeless youth was throwing stones at police cars military. The other hypothesis says that the motive of revenge is the fact one of the children had robbed the mother of a policeman. The most accepted hypothesis states that the officers were part of a death squad and they were hired to perform the "cleaning " of the historical center of Rio de Janeiro.

The man who Pop the pope On May 13, 1981, Agca shot Pope John Paul II several times while the pope rode in an open jeep at the start of his weekly audience in St Peter's Square. Agca was immediately apprehended and arrested. The pope narrowly survived and spent weeks in hospital. Three days after the shooting, he forgave Agca during a live radio broadcast from his hospital bed. At the time of the shooting, events in the pope's Polish homeland were starting a domino effect which was to lead to the collapse of communism in eastern Europe in 1989. The pope was a strong supporter of the dissident Solidarity trade union in Poland and many people began suspecting that the shooting was part of a larger conspiracy to silence the pope. At the time, John Paul was threatening the stability of the Soviet bloc and had reportedly told the late Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev that if Moscow invaded Poland he would throw his weight behind a resistance movement. In May 2000, the Vatican revealed the Fatima secret, saying it predicted the assassination attempt on the pope and communist persecution. The investigation of the assassination attempt formally ended in 1997, leaving many unanswered questions

The decision of the Brazilian Football Championship of 2000 was only the in beginning of 2001, while the city would receive several bands for the third edition of Rock in Rio, and between these bands were Iron Maiden.
When the band came to Brazil, The ''Força Jovem do Vasco'' (Vasco Youth Force, or something like this) contacted Maiden and arranged a meeting with the musicians. A van with several components of the Force was to meet the band members. The Youth Force has distributed kits (caps, shirts, photos) to the members of Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden members were satisfied with the way that the Force was treating the band Mascot, Eddie the Head. The members were invited to watch the final of the Brazilian Championship, and saw Vasco Da Game be crowned champion by the 4th time in full Maracanã .
