Like it is written in bold in the original post - we will reset all mine-related perks and skills soon.
And speaking about nerfs, etc. - we are continuously working on the game (and will be working in the future) so additions and changes in game ballance will happen from time to time always. We are trying to make ballanced all-around and attractive to everyone instead of just pleasing those who pay so if you feel we are not fair enough, I am sorry, but can't help you, man.

So Sad, but the problem rests just as u posted, this is a beta version of the game, so skill nerfs and all will always be around. And you spent $200 on this game ......... wow i cant imagine what me, Noto, Dew, Lil, Nina all of us CASHERS have spent. If you will stop playing because of one little Mine nerf then i guess this game was not meant for you.

The point I was trying to emphasize is that it's very expensive to respec all three when you have no guarantee that your setup will be good by the next patch. The whole point I'm making is that it would take very little for the mods to allow a full respec for all three units as a consideration for their customers while the game is in beta and everyone would be happy with it. I'm sure nerfing mines makes the game more appealing for certain players but it also kills profit since it's the spendiest spec out there - but for fairness sake I'm not opposed, it's just tough when my other units are geared to complement my miner (let alone the other skill points in my miner that I don't get to reset...). By no means do I think the Enkord crew nerf items to make money off of forcing people to respec but I am not going to take the gamble of depositing more Enkord unless I know I'd be given a clean slate for all three upon nerfing. Gunrox is an amazing game, and I think offering this relatively small allowance would keep the customer base happier and be a good long-run business decision. As for me, I hope to play the game eventually, but you probably won't see me on as a casher until everything is sorted out. Plan on seeing me in the near future on another account spamming the chat trying to trade beginner pistols for something useful....

Minnesotanice I completely agree with you.
I had in this account 3 shelter units (12perks for each), my build was built around that perk alone, and when it got nurfed all i got was a 12perk reset, instead of a complete reset, even when I asked particulately for it since i had not 1 unit, but 3 shelter units.
now my Pink_Ranger account, which has 1 pure miner unit, has been pretty much ruined again, and all i get is a 12perk reset once again, and on only 1 unit. AK47 Ak47 grenadier wasnt really what I was going for, since it sucks.
Berserker, we understand the balancing thing. we get that you want to achieve balance, and im all for that. Im not really a casher maybe overall my accountss have 20$ cash lol, but still when you change something this drasticly you should give a full perk and skill respec. not just the mine respec, but the entire unit, and the entire 3 units.
This is a Beta, and as such it shouldnt be too much to ask to give us complete respecs when something is changed in a major way. when you get an account to level 20, and then because of 1 change it gets alot worse, its not really fair to give someone a 12perk reset. it doesnt solve anything.
Anyways, I've been through this whole discussion before back when shelter was changed (did they change its name allready? im sure i've seen a perk named "Useless aka shelter"), im guessing we wont get a complete respec of all units, and not even of the miner unit.
Lucky grenadiers are so extremely overpowered, I can make the pure miner a pure grenadier and maybe pull off a few wins, lol.. at least grenades get the major nurf, anyways. 😎

I totally agree with everyone here, but the problem is still that this is beta version. And because its beta, you never know WHAT will be nerfed next. I know nades will be nerfed soon as they are way overpowered now, and then i will have to change my men, but thats a problem you will have to deal with in playing a beta game. I agree that if a nerf were to hurt your account, you should ATLEAST get a full reset on the unit it hurt, but then again, in bers opinion, why should he reset everything else thats not related to the 1 thing that was nerfed. We all should just stay away from nades and mines, and use assults and smgs and all until either beta is over, or until they start nerfing regular weapons.

You are talking like mines were removed completely. But they aren't. We just fixed them a bit so they are not overpowered. They are still good thing to use. I watched Notorious played after this nerf and he still can do his past tricks except he gets some damage when trying to put mine under someone's feet. This tactics still available but not as safe as before.

I still intend to respec - i would rather shoot twice with a Neo or Jack instead of step 3, plant for 6, and move 3. Mine is less dmg in comparison, and much more risky, and will be even MORE ap for larger mines... ☹ So, its fine. You did what you were trying to do - nerf the mines, and it worked. ☺ But will will be respecing...as I dont' have time to plant and wait for people to come to me from across the board. ☹

Ah yes, I, too, am glad that I got out of mines when I did. The mines were extremely heavy and were requiring me to put even more perks into Strong Back just to carry a few, no thanks. I am trying other ways to satisfy my close range damage needs.

I think mines and sensors would be very usefull in megas even after nerf. Battles are rarely where the players first begin and being able to mine off a route or sensor an area up so snipers can hit without scoping first would be a great advantage. I think they are just underused in these situations. Yes as a offensive weapon they are a lot weaker but i think there are many uses for them that have not been explored.

Yeah... I have yet to see ONE casher that uses mines to utilize sensors. Maybe those need a buff to get some attention or at least cause them to spawn?

Yes, we are out of beta, but due to the nature of the game and it's constant development, we will be tweaking everything for a quite a long time. Even Blizzard still releases patched that tweak balance to their old games like StarCraft and Diablo II

This is what I am talking about. Mines and sensors are "safe" weapons that can't be compared to any other. They have good uses, you probably haven't found those uses yet.

Sorry for posting here Notorious, but I'm not playing on this account any more so you can feel free to free up a spot in SWAT. Was fun playing, but with work and all I don't find the time to meaningfully contribute to the clan and with the nerfs I'm done for a while. Keep on keeping on man, hopefully you'll see this.

Mines have never had crits... are you saying they have crits now? - If they were supposed to have crits. Omg for 24 levels I have NO idea how many games I've lost with close calls with mines...
Thanks for the update on the SWAT membership. We will adjust it accordingly Minnesotanice. I don't blame you for taking a break at a time like this.

Can mines scratch now too? Or do they always do 100+ damage if you are 1 step away?

No Late, mines can't scratch as they are like any other explosive weapon that currently crits but doesn't scratch. (40mm, rockets, granades)

Hmmm, I would say that between Dew and I, we've tried more strats with mines then anyone else. Yes, we have tried sensors in many situations and "for now" they are just not worth the space in your pack. However, I will say, that as new game types come out (such as the multi-koth/battlegrounds type areas discussed in other threads) I think they will find a place of use again. It's just a matter of time.
For now, you have to "force" them to work. Meaning, playing with acid and sensor mines are never the best option but can be a fun alternitive to dmg/stun mines. More challenging to win with but different...and different is always a good thing. ☺
