A useful tip for one dispersion:
move the mouse next to the target player on each side. if either one is blocked it can be dangerous to shoot. if so you can try the same way to places right next to it until you find a good hit.

A lot of players already figured most of it out.
Once I got to use 0 disperision and compared it to 1 dispersion , I succsessfully
understood how to use 1 dispersion.
All you need is to practice, Before I shoot someone with 1 disp I will go
to a position where I will NEVER hit myself, and try to find the best position to
hit the enemy. not always it is possible , but most of the times it is.
Hitting yourself with 1 disp in 95% cases is being a total noob.

pff no. in some positions you have choice: to shoot 2 times and kill, with some % to hit yourself, or 1 100% hit and back. so if you hit yourself 2 times, you are not noob but you are not lucky =)

Part 3 was still written by a noob :)
This relates to scenario 3.
Although i don't usually give away my tactics, since smelli is a good friend i would like this guide to be as sticky as possible and want to add some improvements. i will explain how to shoot the part 3 shot with with 8/9 chance to hit !!!!
you walk to 22:19, aim at 13:19 and shoot☺.
what will happen is that you will never get hit, and the enemy will get hit in 8/9 cases.
lets try to understand how it happens...
since you aim 9 squares away, the lines that lead to all the possible hit squares will go through 17:18, 18:18, 18:19, 17:20 and 18:20.
A shot going though 18:19 (which is on straight line from you to the target) has no obstacle and will explode either on 12:19, 13:19, 14:19. making only 12:19 to miss the target; both the other options will produce a hit on the target.
A shot going through 17:18 or 17:20 will explode on 17:19; we don't get hit, target gets hit!
A shot going through 18:18 or 18:20 will explode on 18:19; we don't get hit, target gets hit!
we are not hit in any case, and the only miss is when the shot goes in straight line and hit 1 square further from what we aimed.
OK, this said, i will let you think how to shoot this shot with 100% chance to hit. It's a secret ☺.
clue: walk to 23:19 and calculate the lines...
in conclusion: be an expert in dispersion, and you will be able to benefit the most from projectiles.

AFAIK grandes have 0 dispersion as long as You have 40 more skill than they need to use.
Dunno about launchers.

rocket lauchers 0 disp
Not sure this is the right thread for it...
Milkor needs 60 points in rocket launcher skill to become 0 disp, which is 40 skill points more than needed to use it. All rocket launchers need 40 skill points more than the minimum needed to use them in order to reduce their dispersion by 1, just like grenades, as explained by puttatos.
The rocket launchers which are attached to weapons, need an amount of rocket launcher skill points equal or more to the skill points needed to use the weapon that the launcher is attached to.
for example:
if you use ak with launcher, and want the launcher to be 0 disp, you need to have 40 skill points in rocket launcher skill.
another example:
colt633 requires 80 skill points in submachinegun skill to use. So for the attached rocket launcher to become 0 disp you need 80 skill points in rocket launchers skill.

this is very good and it helps weaker players....but I think there is 1 problem...when I play with weaker players(I dont like to say noobs) they set the time to 1 min or sometimes iven 40 sec.....and for that time U CANT IVEN THINK WHAT TO DO.....should I move, shoot, run, heal, take items....many options and at the end, time runs out ☺)) congr. to smellict for this once again

nice post smellict, i'm sure that a lot of players learned some stuff even tough i know them but i learned something about it but i still do have a question:
when the weapon have 0 dispersion it does more damage than when it have 1 dispersion or more or it deosn't have a relation?
When a weapon have dispersion let's take a grenade that have dispersion 1 and let's take we are on 16:16 and the enemy is at 16:21 when we throw the grenade at 16:21 it will explode on 16:20 or on 16:22?

hitleriste i realy don't think you should say to them noobs from first place because i do that sometimes i put time 1 minute sometimes but it is because i am sure of my self and after all just like smellict said you have to practice first and after u will not have to count because you will be used to it but u can say noobs for those that put 40 seconds and they can't do their turn in that time hehehee like most of the deserters
