Hello Berserker and fellow Gunrox players
After gathering feedback and discussing the current state of the game with my clan members, we’ve put together a list of the top 3 most critical changes and quality-of-life additions that would heavily improve the gameplay experience. We believe these adjustments would solve some long-standing frustrations, and bring back the build variety that players love. Here is our proposal: 1. Manual Map Size Customization (With Dynamic Minimums) The Problem: Default auto-sized maps for 1v1 matches are far too small, making arts fights basically impossible. Currently, the only way to generate a large map is through the Clan Attack system. which forces players into a high-risk stakes where they can lose body part, which is an unnecessary penalty for a standard art fight match. The Proposed Fix: Adding a manual map size adjustment option (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large) in the game creation menu. The Constraint: To prevent unplayable setups, the selectable map size should scale dynamically based on player count. A 1v1 room could scale all the way up to Extra Large, but a 3v3 or 5v5 room would have its minimum size locked to an appropriate baseline to accommodate the players count. 2. Room Attack Immunity for Mega Rooms The Problem: Outside players can attack a room host while a match is being made. When an attack happens, the room instantly collapses, forcing all waiting players back to the main lobby. The Proposed Fix: The Introduction of an immunity system. Once a created room reaches more than 5 players, the host (and the room) should automatically be granted immunity from outside attacks. This protects mega rooms from being attacked while keeping standard low-count room mechanics completely unchanged
3. Reverting the Endurance Perk to its Original StateThe Problem: The nerf to the Endurance perk has severely restricted build diversity, which is the backbone of making Gunrox enjoyable. By nerfing the perk, a lot of classic builds have been rendered completely dead. Big Guns units now require far too much investment and too low weight, it’s barely worth making. the iconic 18 AP Gauss unit is completely dead. the maximum available AP for Gauss units has dropped from 19 down to 17. The Proposed Fix: Reverting the Endurance perk back to its original design (+3 Movement AP and -1 Action AP). Players enjoy having more gameplay variety and viable build ideas, not fewer. Restoring this perk will instantly breathe life back into off-meta builds. Thank you for taking the time to read through these suggestions. EMPIRE clan and I fully support these changes, and we believe they would go a long way in making the game more enjoyable and fun for everyone. I agree with them. Berserker has done a great job with the updates he's made recently, but I think it would be even better if he focused more on mega-related updates and improvements for Art Fight battles. Host immunity sounds like a great and very useful feature. If more than 5 players enter a room, the host shouldn't be attackable, so they can wait for the mega in peace. Sometimes players stay AFK to help fill the room, and one attack from toxic players like Cruentus can ruin everything. It just makes the game feel more toxic than it actually is. Also, the size of the Zombie Mode co-op map is basically what an Art Fight map should look like. It shouldn't be difficult to create Art Fight maps of that size. Even the Outpost maps would work perfectly for Art Fight battles. Endurance perk should be brought back to its old state. The changes ruined many different builds and are limiting build diversity. We're getting forced into fewer viable build options, which makes the game less interesting. I'm pretty sure most players agree with what we're talking about here. We can use this thread to discuss more ideas and possible updates in the future.
