People tend to laugh when they see my fabulous w/l 14/81 paired with my usual loadout of nothingness and I do give them credit, most of the time I do lose without even killing one of their unit but once in a blue moon, the progress is showing off.
See, when you go into a battle with no gear what so ever you put yourself up to the challenge because often, your enemy is gonna have a full loadout and they will crush you but... going at it again and again, you start to learn some tricks and techniques. If you are lucky and the few crates you start with contains enough weapons to arm your squad, you may find yourself actually winning because losing so many times, you begin to understand the enemy's playstyle and how to outsmart them.
This is what happened to me today. My loadout was naked as usual while the enemy had a full loadout with two grenades on each unit. I had the luck of a few good weapons and some decent terrain to play with on my side of the map and with a bit of tactical play, I managed to kill them without any unit killed.

I like your energy, you don't see that much here anymore when every surviving gunrox player has like 3000 hours played over the last 14 years. Back in 2013-2014 I played only naked 1x1 fights since I didn't have any money to spend on gaming back then. Having high melee and nader skills was always a big help around level 20 because you spawn with a 0 dispersion grenade and the hatchet which deals decent damage even against armed enemies, so you can focus down 1 unit, take their armor and weapons and turn the match around if lucky. But the real draw of this game for me lately has been team battles, since this is literally the only turn-based squad tactics game where you can play 5x5. Too bad the current player count can only barely sustain these types of matches, so you are forced to play against the same people over and over again.
