I've created a graph listing all the available perks, their effects and their requirements. It is available in png or svg format, both are too big to attach to the post so here are the links:

PNG (http://fulby.co.uk/GUNROX/Percs.png) (common graphics format, click this one if you're unsure)
SVG (http://fulby.co.uk/GUNROX/Percs.svg) (vector graphics format)

These are large images so they may not be easy to view in the browser. A decent image viewer should let you zoom in to a good level and scroll around.

Hopefully this will help people when deciding which perks to choose.

WOW!
you are GUNROX maniac, pretty useful graph even for us, developers :)

BTW, since we brought the subject of perks to the table I must note that we plan to revise some perks so it will be a good idea to discuss perks and possible changes to them. IMO, major problem about them is redundant requirements for some really cool perks, which kills their usefulness. What do you think?

The graph is created by a program called Graphviz (http://www.graphviz.org/), with the input file generated from a Perl script (attached). Anyone is free to use this, modify it, etc. You should be able to make it generate the same graph in Russian by editing the strings at the top of the file under the "defines" section. You'll need to update the other strings there to point to the game directory on your machine.

Note to anyone thinking of downloading the script: If you don't know Perl you're unlikely to be able to do anything with it.

From looking at the graph I'd say the upper levels of Strong Back aren't much use as there doesn't appear to be any perks increasing inventory size. That effect is listed I assume perks increasing inventory size will be added.

I think perks like Gun Run and Lock'n'Load won't be used much as they each require two similar skills to be boosted. I.e. for Gun Run you need to boost both pistol and SMG, but those are both short/medium range weapons so I don't think people would boost both. Same with Lock'n'Load which requires melee and shotgun boosted, both short range skills.

Also odd to me is Stargazer, which gives greater sight distance to someone specialising in melee and lowers poison and stun resistance. This is the sort of perk I'd want on my sniper, not on a character which is going to be near the enemy a lot.

After re-reading this handy little graph, I've noticed one very peculiar perk: "Dr. Energetic". Now what the heck does THIS stinker do? Laser-class weaponry like phasers?! We can only sit back and ponder because we're not likely going to have any idea on WHAT this little perk will do because it requires level 40 before you can pick it...

Energy weapons like lasers will allow you to shoot through any obstacle.

Uh oh....

I hope they're not too powerful to the point they'll unbalance the game... cause they'll cause some real havoc out there!

It's too early to talk about them cause you need to have level 40 to even be able to use and basic energy weapon.

I've updated the perk graphs in the original post to match the latest version of the game. The graph includes descriptions for the special perks, i.e. the ones which have effects other than straightforward adding of stats.
