New Year's GUNROX Tournament

We announce registration for the New Year's GUNROX Tournament right now!

All battles are going to be played on 3.01.09-4.01.09

Groups
There gonna be 3 different categories:
1) for levels 10-14
2) for levels 15-19
3) for levels 20-24
For those who is below level 10 - you still have time to level up. For those who are above level 24 - sorry, but you may try to start new character.

Entry Fee
1 artifact item of rank 2+ (items that require 20+ skill points to use) /*example of art*/ (http://i.piccy.info/i3/42/6b/23c56b0d1d11afa7bdbf3fb7f4b2.jpeg)
OR

All collected items will come straight to prize fund and will be divided between winners.
NOTE: Items must have at least 75% attrition, so don't submit junk :)

Registration
To register yourself for it all you need is to contact me (darkwish) and give me something that qualifies as Entry Fee. I will update list of participants here.

Rules
1. No special restrictions - you can play naked or equipped, whatever you see fit.
2. No artifacts allowed in tournament battles as some of them are too powerful.
3. There will be time scheduled for your battle in advance - it you won't make it - that's gonna be counted as technical loss.
4. All fights will be at Lost Beach.
5. Moderators will watch all battles to see everything is well and no one violates rules (like using artifacts).
6. Time will be limited for each battle and it over 1 hour there are still no winner, moderator will abort the game and decide who is the winner on it's own.

Prizes
All Entry Fee items will be shared between winners + some bonus items from berserker personally :) Remember, it's just a game so don't take it too serious ;)

Attention! If after signing up for the tournament your lvl is higher than limit of your group, you will be moved to the next group. If after tournament starts your level will become higher than limits set by the group - you will be removed from the tournament.

Time for each invidual battle will be written next to the VS pair. Players must come to Lost Beach in 10-15 minutes before actual time. If player won't be present, fight will be considered technical loss to the player who was unable to make it.

This is my official complaint as to how the opponents were chosen - there was absolutely NO randomness in the opponent selection and should be reviewed - I wish to implement a motion to change the scheduling process effective immediately.

It starts out 1x2, 3x4, and then it becomes a bit suspicious thereafter. The same goes for group B, starts out in order and then suspicious again. If this was done randomly, the odds are longer than 1 in a billion that this was a coincidence.

I think its pretty clear how the opponents are chosen: You are matched with someone near your level, which evens up the level differences inside groups in first rounds. Why would random be better?

Do not play with odds to try and prove your point, it is quite demeaning and condescending - the "one in a billion" is a phrase for an extremely long shot of being actually random... suspiciously random.

If it's not random, that is fine, but don't try to make it seem random... Either go 1-16 in order or not...

i dont know your skills, i dont know your perks, i just divided players to pairs by their lvl at the moment they were signed. i also could do it by first letter of nickname, or just put first with second, third with fourth and so on, or use some other ways to random players.

I was thinking more along the lines of... grenades or rocket launchers, damage resist, and a good idea of where they are parked - We can all be honest and say that there are some "obvious" spots where a guy can park mines.
