View Full Version : The GUNROX Newbie Guide to the Weapons

It's a warzone, let's face it... and if you can't tell buckshot from 7.62mm rounds, you are in a world of trouble. All weapons have different characteristics, some are great from a distance, others work better the closer you are to the target. Also note that ALL weapons have one characteristic in common: attrition. Attrition is a guide to how long the weapon will last, each attack will lower the attrition by one. Weapons with a red tint are about to break... replace ASAP.

There are plentiful amount of weapons to be fired, so here's a breakdown on what to expect out there soldier!

MELEE WEAPONS

Bare Hands:
Accuracy: 60%, Damage Range: 10-20, Weight: N/A, Max. Attrition: N/A, AP Use: 3

Hunter's Knife:
Accuracy: 80%, Damage Range: 10-30, Weight: 5, Max. Attrition: 40, AP Use: 3

Baseball Bat (LEVEL 10 MELEE REQUIRED FOR USE!):
Accuracy: 60%, Damage Range: 15-20, Weight: 7, Max. Attrition: 40, AP Use: 3, STUN EFFECT: 20%

Poisoned Knife (LEVEL 20 MELEE REQUIRED FOR USE!):
Accuracy: 75%, Damage Range: 10-30, Weight: 5, Max. Attrition: 40, AP Use: 3, Poison Effect: 6

PISTOLS

Beginner's Pistol:
Accuracy: 95-65%, Range: 1-7 cells, Damage Range: 5-7, Weight: 2, Max Attrition: 10, AP Use: 2, Main Ammo: 9mm (Big thanks to VictorML for specs)

PM Makarov:
Accuracy: 95-75%, Range: 1-7 cells, Damage Range: 6-11, Weight: 3, Max Attrition: 50, AP Use: 2, Main Ammo: 9 mm, Secondary Ammo: ???
Upgrades Available: Silencer (+50% critical damage), Laser Sight (100% accuracy from any distance)

Colt Python Elite (LEVEL 20 PISTOL SKILL REQUIRED FOR USE!):
Accuracy: 95-65%, Range: 1-7 cells, Damage Range: 12-22, Max Attrition: 40, AP Use: 3, Main Ammo: .44 10.9 mm, Secondary Ammo: ???
Upgrades Available: Silencer (+50% critical damage), Laser Sight (100% accuracy from any distance)

SMGs

Steyr TMP:
Accuracy: 95-75%, Range: 1-8 cells, Damage Range: 16-20, Weight: 8, Max. Attrition: 60, AP Use: 4, Main Ammo: 9 mm (5 per attack), Secondary Ammo: ???
Available Upgrades: Silencer (+50% critical damage)

IMI UZI (LEVEL 20 SMG SKILL REQUIRED FOR USE!):
Accuracy: 95-70%, Range: 1-8 cells, Damage Range: 22-27, Weight: 8, Max. Attrition: 80, AP Use: 4, Main Ammo: 9 mm (5 per attack), Secondary Ammo: ???

SHOTGUNS

Accuracy: 95-80%, Range: 1-6 cells, Damage Range: 10-35, Weight: 8, Max. Attrition: 40, AP Use: 4, Main Ammo: Shells, Secondary Ammo: ???

Benelli M3 Super 90 (LEVEL 20 SHOTGUN SKILL REQUIRED FOR USE!):

SNIPER RIFLES

SVD Dragunov (LEVEL 20 SNIPER RIFLE SKILL NEEDED FOR USE!):
Accuracy: 95-70%, Range: 8-18 cells, Damage Range: 20-54, Weight: 11, Max. Attrition: 30, AP Use: 7, Main Ammo: 7.62 mm, Secondary Ammo: ???
Available Upgrades: Knife (for melee purposes)

ROCKET LAUNCHERS (Usable after obtaining the Dr. Explosive Perk)

M79:
Accuracy (Dispersion): 3 unit radius, Area of Effect: 3 cell radius, Range: 5-9 cells, Damage Range: 28-45, Weight: 20, Max. Attrition: 30, AP Use: 5, Ammo: 40 mm Grenades

MACHINE GUNS (Usable after obtaining the Dr. Minigun Perk)

RPK:
Accuracy: 95-70%, Range: 5-16 cells, Damage Range: 12-75, Weight: 30, Max. Attrition: 30, AP Use: 9, Main Ammo: 7.62 mm (10 per attack), Secondary Ammo: ???

GRENADES

M61 Hand Grenade:
Accuracy (Dispersion): 3-cell radius, Area of Effect: 3-cell radius, Range: 4-10 cells, Damage Range: 30-59, Weight: 5, AP Use: 6

Flash Grenade (LEVEL 10 GRENADE SKILL REQUIRED FOR USE!):
Accuracy (Dispersion): 3-cell radius, Area of Effect: 4-cell radius, Range: 4-10 cells, Damage Range: 0, Weight: 5, AP Use: 6, Blind Effect: 80%

TRAPS

TMD-62B Land Mine:
Area of Effect: 4 cells, Damage Range: 30-49, Weight: 5, AP Use: 3

ARTIFACTS

Artifacts are super-rare items that "sometimes" show up in your combat zone. Should you find one... do whatever it takes to take it back to your storage!! Artifacts have a strong glow emitting from them, ranging from blue to red, where red glows have the most devastating powers! The order of powers are: blue, light blue, green, orange, purple, red (Confirmation needed). Note... should the enemy find out that YOU have an artifact, it could be quite a rumble to get out with it!

umm...is there any way to possibly summerize all of that?...and then i could possibly help you with the sitting duck target practice...:D oh and by the way you shall never say that who's the duck who wants to help me with target przctice ever again :D

That's what I'm trying to do! It's not easy... and there's a lot of weapons to summarize as well. Then there's the weapons we DON'T have yet that I'll have to include later!!

As of June 3rd, this guide contains all of the weapons. So read up, formulate your game plan... and move out!

Oh good gravy.... this game's gonna be outrageously nasty when the later weapons are unleashed to the masses! I hope they tweak a few of them... some look a little bit overkill at the moment.

That's not a problem... the post here will only contain the weapons that are currently "released for public use". Then again... how did you get your hands on the third-tier shotgun? Did you strip Berserker or Astor of their weapons in-game?

I've got it from a trade with someone ( can't remember him/her tbh ... )

It only has 7 atrition left but i got it kinda like a gift ;)

It was probably spawned from someone with very high shotguns skill + shotgun mastery. They usually have 10 attrition by default.

btw imo 10 attrition for free beretta (13-23 dmg with 56 skill) is little too low, because 10 shoots with beretta=180dmg, and for example colt (2nd trier not 3rd) about 350, benelli probably about 450. What i want to say that free beretta is almost useless, couse i can hardly kill 1 person with it, and is valmost impossible to broke free colt in 1vs1 (an another example) i know that some weapons have less ammo couse they are good (m79 with only 2 grenades) but now, i dont even know if usual beretta is better than usual python (but this is another issue for another topic ;d)
