Mines are ridiculously overpowered.

You can only see mines if you have mine skill 10+ then the guy who put those mines. Basically, if you are playing someone higher level or you simply did not invest in that skill, you have no chance of seeing those mines.

All someone has to do is put 3-4 mines in a place you will have to go through to get to him, and wait. Or even simply put them in a place he knows he can retreat into.

Thoughts on the issue?

Mines are extremely hard to acquire and save in such numbers - if cash shop, they are expensive as well cause you gotta pay for each one used.

Also due to the many different routes around obstacles - it is extremely difficult to predict enemy traffic... especially 2 turns ahead of time as you need time to plant the dang mines!

Lets say someone has the patience to wait, and if he's any good, he will choose the correct way, or the only way a player will attack him from.

Yeah just use mines for yourself in the next 5 battles and see if you will dominate all of them because of the mines...
As mentioned it is not enough to place a mine, the opponent also needs to step on it, and that is for sure not happening every time. And have you ever experienced anyone placing 5 mines in one match? If a player has collected 5 mines and is willing to use them all against me in just one match he has definitely deserved to win the match!

Oh yeah, that's another huge downside to mines, they can backfire - especially if you have auto-plant.
