Ok, so I tested my Healing skill - +1
I have Regneration - +1

At the beginning of my turn, my dude heals 1 point of damage. Then I apply a 15HP healing kit.

Correct me if I am wrong - If I had 10 HP - at beginning of my turn I get +1 HP for 11 HP due to Regeneration. Then I use a 15HP heal kit - with my +1 in the skill that should be 16 HP, yes?

Instead, I only get the 15HP from the kit. It seem my healing skill didn't work.

Bug? or am I incorrect in my assumption that the +1 in the skill gives me +1 to use any healing kit?

I think the skill only adds 1% to the healing power, not 1 unit. I got that from the data file for skills. I assume it matches what the game uses.

Look in:
\GUNROX\data\preset\skillactions.xml
for the info on healing and other skills.

Do you (or anyone) know if it rounds down, up or towards the nearest whole number? I think it's down but I'm not sure.

It rounds to CLOSEST whole number, up or down.

Ok... then that begs the next question:

What use is the Healing skill if you can not apply the kit to a team member?

Ok, so you got your machine gun dude, you have your sniper dude - but medic?? No - you can't apply the kit to anyone else, your dudes or team members.

Now now.. I don't want to get all complex city here. But... seriously, since the HP update - If the skill doesn't add 1 point - isn't it kinda useless?

you should get 16 hp from 15 hp medikit if your healing skill is at 10. This is abug and we'll fix it. Speaking about uselessness of this skill please note that there will be more powerful medikits that heal more hp per same amount of ap and they have a hard requirement of healing skill just like more powerful weapons.

Anyway, possibility to apply healing skill to other team members, either by special medikits or needed perks, can come in handy. Even with increased AP cost/decreased healing output. Not sure 'bout balance side, though...

i assume that you get 1 hp at the start of your go. if you use a medkit for example big medkit it would heal 20 hp i may be wrong but thats what i assume:)
