What kind of energy weapons could be in near future ?

Some laser guns ?

As i hear a sound of "Blaster" i need it right now - this sound fantastic :D

Maybe a protogun? it is used as a sniping rifle but can be shot through any kind of material, but mostly used to shoot blind if you actually "know" where they are but can't shoot because for some reason you "have" to see them ~.~

or gun with low damage like pistol but with hight attricion and no need any ammo

hmm....i did see some weapons in there that the government is..."experimenting" with right now :D
but those are some nice graphics and details ;)
