RULES
MODERATOR have been assigned - you will NOT begin your game until your MODERATOR or Chicken gives you permission.
Show up for your game 15 MIN EARLY!
GAME TIME 1:20 for all games played, no exceptions. NO EARLY ABORTS are allowed, you will play the first map you were provided. If you abort early, you will be disqualified. NO ARTIFACTS are allowed either. NO BAD LANGUAGE. RESERVE SUB will take the place of the lowest seed not to show up. OTHER SUBS (from lesser brackets bumped up) will take the place of the next lowest seeds not to show up. If after this your opponent does not show up, you will advance. If this happens late in the tournament, Chicken will decide all special circumstances. All games must have started before 10 minutes after the hour, or you will FORFEIT your game.

ALL MATCHES ARE LIMITED TO 1 HOUR - FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE GAME WILL RESULT IN MODERATOR SELECTION TO ADVANCE! IF THERE IS NO CLEAR SELECTION, YOU WILL REMATCH! THIS INCLUDES UNITS, HEALTH, MINES, MAP ADVANTAGE, GUNS, BULLETS, ARMOR, YOU NAME IT.

WHAT IF I LEVEL TOO HIGH?
If after signing up for the tournament your level is higher than limit of your group, you will be moved to the next group - IF THERE IS ROOM (it is recommended you don't level past your entry parameters)! I am permitting a single reserve spot for each bracket with priority over the lesser bracket upgrades. After the tournament starts, if you level up higher than the group limit - you will be removed from the tournament.

Just out of curiosity... is CST Central Standard Time here in the US? Cause I couldn't figure out what's going on with the site you posted...

Also, now that medals are known for tourney winners (and 2nd placers), things should get HOT this time around. Based on those dates... I should be able to help this time around.

I made an account which I especially didnt level up because I wanted it to be in the next 10-14 tournament, now I dont have time to level him up all the way to 19..
And the difference between a level 15 and a level 19 is pretty big =\
please consider that, but In any case I would like to join with Red_Ranger (26) I will give you an art in game, and with Pink_Ranger (13). if a 10-14 tourney wont be opened I guess I will start playing non-stop to get him over 15, but please consider this and reply soon. thanks.

Do not you want to arrange pair battles? It seems to me format of battles 2 on 2, or 3 on 3 far more interesting.

It is possible it would be to do the sparkle of the second tournament.

There's only one problem with that... and that's pairing up fairly. I mean, if we let the players team up by their choices, the pros would team up together. If the mods paired up players - we might put a pro with a complete noob!

As I didn't join the last tournament, I don't know how the battles go on. Here in Brazil, is gonna be 11:00 AM when the tour will start. So, will the bettles happen 1 each time in the level team? Like, for example, 4 rooms, one to each lvl team and each one will have a bttle. When it finishes, other beggins. Is it right? Or are you gonna put here the right system? :D Ty for atenttion.

That would count as an entry ticket as it is not Dark Blue color. I would highly advise against it but... it's your decision.

I've been accepting these as part of a pair of arts if the applicant wishes to make an offer to get a ticket. But, these alone won't get you in.

BTW, they aren't as weak as a personal silenced AKSU - look at it again :D

Yeah... especially at the damage for close quarters combat. That's the main difference between an Army Stock and an AKSU.

Tournys go like this:
for how ever many mods are on ....... Lets say 3 mods.
There will be 3 different games at once in Lost Beach, Each mod is assigned a different game.
Once that game is over and the winner announce
A new game will start.
Last tourny was 2 days, and the first day was just the first round of fights
the Second day was the other 3 battles.

Hope that helped.

The One, i was recently told that our Host of this tourny *chicken* has a random fight generator program he will be using, so in other words, "and i hope its true" all fights will be randomized.

Personally, I feel it would be unfair to do a manual matchup job. I also wish to dedicate 100% of my time into making this the most successful tournament yet, and to do that I will not be taking part in it... the rumors are true!

its nice to know that ther will be random maches so it will be unexpected maches and i say good luck to all, this is my first turnement and i hope to win, i have a good feeling that i have a chance/
in a nother mather i ask from cheken turnement organaizer if it posibale that my mach will be one of the first ones, becuse i can not play between gmt 16:30 and 23:00. i go to football mach israel greece pre mondial games. so plz let my mach be one of the first ones i not whant to miss my chance to win turnement .\

Sure Lil lets just deplinish our chances on Talons taking this tourny eh. And i suggested to Chicken to do ALL lvl 30's on Ice and after the lower lvls are done, like starting on the 29th instead of the 28th. But he said he already had everything the way he wanted, but next tourny he will do this, that it was a good idea. So i guess its back to the Noob Beach eh.

Yes, I thought it could be good to make 30+ fights on Ice Valley, but on second thought - Ice Valley is more close quarted map while Lost Beach is more versatile and all-around - it could be totally open or it might be loaded with huts and jungle. Lost Beach is way better for tournaments I think.

I agree - but for this tournament - the parameters have already been set. Chicken made the announcement and there may have already been respecs to suit the Lost Beach, so it is too late to change it.

I have added ALL TIMES AND DATES on the FIRST PART of this thread - Please read carefully, I will check back for any questions or if anyone sees a mistake in my math (CST Central Standard Time has daylight savings now so it is technically called CDT Central Daylight Time) please let me know.

I have decided it best to split the days up into different groups - most people will only have to commit 1 day to the tournament rather than 2.

by the way I think DST changes come between saturday and sunday so keep checking this site so you know what is GMT. GMT will never change with DSTs so thats the best clock to watch always with these global time agreeing thingies.

thanx to chicken for this great and wonderfull tournament....first time i felt this kind of pressure in the game but i realy enjoyed it.man u rock my world within 6hours of playing and waiting.even i lose the semi i wont forget this superb experience....enkord cash i felt its so worth it!!!!

In case anyone's wondering... I'll try to get my FRAPS operational for tomorrow's matches! I didn't get a chance for the first two brackets as I had a surprise board meeting and needed to present something to my boss... good thing that meeting ended well. I'll be on tomorrow morning... and get those matches up soon Chicken!

I need to reduce my video size from 4 gigs down to 1 gig to put them up :( - what do you use to reduce the size?

Only video repacking tool I know is virtualdub.
You can select to compress audio and video with whatever codecs your pc has. A small problem is that not all of them work, so I recommend testing with a small video first, to see which ones work and also reduce the needed disk space.

You could use even the most simple software , like Windows Movie maker ( free ) or heavy stuff like Sony Vegas ( $700 ) to do that :)

Just open the vid with the video editing software you use , and save it in a lower res, lower bitrate , parhaps a few frames per sec les ( not lower then 24! ) , and use a lower audio bitrate.

That should save enough ;)

No problem - some of the videos didn't work right, some of them did - I am also attempting to resize the ones that did (they are too large to post) - They will come up soon, but I'm not sure when - please don't check for them daily...

I just got the full version of FRAPS the night before the tournament, so there were a few things to learn there as well. First tournament is over, I've learned what can work, what can't - there is room for improvement. I may post a vote for certain rules that we may be able to work with soon.

I'm now very regret I didn't attend the tournment of 30-34. In this level range, I can meet many good players and can help to learn more from them. :(
